This is my 2013 Scion FR-S, a manual transmission car that I’ve built around one goal: keeping it raw, responsive, and genuinely fun to drive. Every modification on this car was chosen with intention — no fluff, no shortcuts, just parts that improve the experience behind the wheel.
Mechanically, the car has been extremely solid. I installed a South Bend Stage 2 clutch at 98,500 miles, which completely transformed how the car feels. Engagement is firm but very streetable, and paired with the TRD quick-throw shifter, the car feels tight and precise every time I row through the gears.
For sound and character, I went with a full Tomei setup — UEL headers, mid pipe, and exhaust. It gives the car that classic boxer rumble without being obnoxious, and it really brings the FR-S to life. Supporting mods include a flash tablet tune and Injen cold air intake, along with a Crawford Performance air/oil separator to keep everything running clean and healthy.
Handling was a big focus for me. The car sits on Tein coilovers and runs Whiteline front and rear sway bars, which completely changed how confident the car feels in corners. I added Verus rear lower control arms to dial in alignment properly, and a Megan Racing front strut tower bar to tighten up the chassis. Up front, the Verus front splitter adds both function and an aggressive touch.
To finish it off, the car has an OEM carbon fiber hood, keeping the look clean and purposeful without overdoing it.
This FR-S isn’t a show car — it’s a driver’s car. Built to be enjoyed, pushed, and appreciated by people who actually love driving.
